Dongjak-gu Gifts 'My Own Study Room' to Children from Vulnerable Groups

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) is promoting the 'Hope Children's Study Room Decoration Project' for underprivileged children who will be the future leaders.

The 'Hope Children's Study Room' is a project in which the district, Dongjak Welfare Foundation, and Hope Light cooperate to create study rooms and improve living environments for low-income families with children in need of study spaces.

The first project took place on the 19th at the home of a lower-grade elementary school student, Lee, who suffers from a kidney disease. Lee lives with his father on government subsidies and has been living in a corner of the living room due to the lack of a study room.

On that day, furniture in a space previously used as a storage room was removed, and a new study room was created with beds, desks, bookshelves, and lights sponsored by Hope Light.

Local volunteers and volunteers from Hope Light participated, working together to collect and organize old furniture.

This year, the district plans to expand study rooms for low-income children by receiving monthly recommendations for support recipients from Hope Light.

Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, expressed gratitude to the kind companies sponsoring this project and said, "I hope children can freely nurture their dreams in a good environment through the Hope Children's Study Room Decoration Project."
