The Suwon Dangsu 2 Public Housing District project is a development project to create residential, commercial, and public land over an area of 680,000㎡ in the Gwonseon-gu area of Suwon City, accommodating a population of 13,000. The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) will invest 800 billion KRW to complete it by 2026.

The government plans to supply a total of 5,252 housing units in the Suwon Dangsu 2 Public Housing District. Among them, 1,482 units will be supplied as public sale housing under the New:Home program. The New:Home program will conduct a preliminary subscription for 403 units this December.

The district offers excellent metropolitan transportation accessibility, with access to the Suwon-Gwangmyeong and Gwacheon-Bongdam Expressways, National Road No. 42, and the Shinbundang Line Homaesil Station scheduled to open in 2029. Transportation improvement measures such as the construction of a connecting road between Seosuwon IC and Homaesil IC and the expansion of the connecting road to National Road No. 42 will also be implemented.

Once the Suwon Dangsu 2 Public Housing District is developed, it will integrate with the Suwon Dangsu District (under construction) to the east and the Suwon Homaesil District to the south into a single living zone. The Seosuwon area will be transformed into a new town with approximately 33,000 housing units.

Park Jae-sun, head of the Public Housing Promotion Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "We plan to actively supply small and medium-sized sites to expand the supply of New:Home housing in the metropolitan area," adding, "We will also expedite the expansion of the metropolitan transportation network to ensure that residents do not experience transportation inconveniences and will thoroughly manage the project."
