Uljin-gun Jukbyeon-myeon to Host This Year's Hanmaeum Yutnori Festival

Jukbyeon-myeon, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Kim Jung-man) hosted the '2023 Jukbyeon-myeon Hanmaeum Yutnori Festival' on the 17th, organized and sponsored by the Jukbyeon-myeon Youth Association, inviting local elders.

Uljin-gun, which held the 2023 Jukbyeon-myeon Hanmaeum Yutnori Festival.

At the event, about 500 people including Son Byung-bok, Uljin County Governor, county council members, heads of institutions and social organizations, and residents participated. They played Yutnori (team and individual matches), Jegichagi, and Tuho games, spending a meaningful time to preserve traditional folk games and pray for the unity and well-being of the residents.

Kim Jung-man, Mayor of Jukbyeon-myeon, said, “I hope this Yutnori festival, held for the first time in a long while due to COVID-19, became a time for many elders to gather, unite, and share warmth with neighbors. We will continue to create various opportunities for communication and enjoyment with local residents in the future.”
