"Feeling Suffocated"... This Time, Passenger Attempts to 'Open Door' on Jeju Air Flight

Passenger Sitting in Emergency Exit Seat Complains of Discomfort
Attempts to Open Door After Moving to Crew Front Seat
"No Human or Material Damage Due to Prompt Action"

Another incident occurred where a passenger caused a disturbance and attempted to open the aircraft door during a flight.

At 1:49 a.m. on the 19th, on Jeju Air flight 7C2406 heading from Cebu Airport in the Philippines to Incheon International Airport, passenger A tried to open the aircraft door. At the time, there were about 180 passengers on board.

Passenger A, who was seated in the emergency exit row, complained of chest tightness about an hour after takeoff and exhibited abnormal behavior. Flight attendants moved A to seat 1C near the crew seats to monitor his condition. Afterwards, he displayed abnormal speech and behavior and rushed toward the door, attempting to open the boarding gate door.

About three hours before landing, A was restrained and tied up by other passengers and flight attendants. Jeju Air immediately handed A over to the airport police after landing.

A Jeju Air official stated, “Thanks to the prompt action of our flight attendants, there were no human or material damages.”

Previously, on the 26th of last month at 12:37 p.m., a similar incident occurred on Asiana Airlines flight 8124 from Jeju to Daegu, where passenger Lee (33) attempted to open the emergency exit door.
