'Purple' Containing Anthocyanin and Niacin
Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 19th that it will launch two types of high-concentration juices, 'Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan' Red and Purple.
Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan was developed to allow modern people who lack vegetable intake to easily consume a variety of vegetables. It features a richer juice content, packed with the nutrients of fruits and vegetables.
Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan Red contains 1.5 tomatoes, 2 carrots, and 5,900㎍ of lycopene, and is rich in zinc, which is necessary for immune function. Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan Purple contains 10 blueberries, 1 purple sweet potato, 1 purple carrot, and 36,400㎍ of anthocyanin, and is rich in niacin (vitamin B3), which is needed for energy production in the body.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables for Koreans is 500g. However, according to the National Health Statistics, Koreans consume an average of about 397g per day. Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan, in a convenient 125㎖ pack that fits in one hand, can fully meet the daily deficiency in fruit and vegetable intake.
The packaging was designed in two colors, Red and Purple, featuring photos of the raw ingredients so consumers can intuitively choose according to their nutritional needs and preferences, and uses paper straws.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Yachae Deumpuk Deo`Jinhan blends vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, blueberries, and carrots in an optimal ratio so that even consumers who do not like vegetables can enjoy it deliciously," adding, "It preserves the fresh, tangy sweetness of the fruit as is, without adding flavorings or sweeteners, allowing for a healthier intake of fruit and vegetable nutrients."
