Sales Increased by 72% Compared to the Previous Year
Homeplus Online announced on the 19th that sales of its express-based 'instant delivery' service grew by 72% year-on-year from August last year to May this year.

According to Homeplus, instant delivery saw an increase in the number of customers across all age groups from their 20s to 60s, with the number of customers in their 20s rising by 66% compared to the previous year. Sales from customers in their 50s also increased by 132%, Homeplus added.
Analyzing customer purchase data, the 20s age group for instant delivery showed a high sales proportion in snack and noodle categories, which are easy to eat, while the 50s age group frequently purchased essential table items such as eggs, tofu, and milk.
Homeplus evaluated this growth in instant delivery as having established itself as an online grocery shopping method encompassing all age groups. Lee Tae-shin, Executive Vice President and Head of Homeplus Online Business Division, said, "Under the management philosophy of customized delivery focused on customer convenience, instant delivery is developing into a service loved by all age groups."
Instant delivery operated by Homeplus Express is a quick commerce service that delivers products within about one hour of ordering. Its convenience of receiving needed products immediately makes it highly preferred by customers.
