Research Alumeum stated on the 19th that the modular construction method is emerging as a hot topic in the domestic construction industry, and predicted that companies such as Geumgang Industrial, Deokshin Housing, and Dasco will benefit.
Researcher Lee Seung-hwan of Research Alumeum explained, "Modular construction allows cost reduction, is eco-friendly, and enables efficient expansion," adding, "Governments around the world are supporting modular construction along with eco-friendly policies."
He continued, "Due to the damage from the Ukraine war, post-war reconstruction costs are expected to exceed 1200 trillion won," and added, "Our government plans to actively participate in the Ukraine reconstruction project."
Furthermore, he analyzed, "We are considering ways to support the recovery and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine through modular construction," adding, "Modular construction enables rapid manufacturing and installation, allowing quick support for urgently needed schools, housing, hospitals, etc." He also emphasized, "It allows continuous cyclical use such as relocation or repurposing."
He said, "Panels and deck plates are important materials in modular construction," and added, "The deck plate market is one of the growing industries expanding every year."
Geumgang Industrial produces panels (formwork), steel pipes, and other major building materials. Deokshin Housing is a specialized deck plate company developing products needed at construction sites, such as eco-friendly eco-deck with lower steel plate release, speed deck with non-exposed welding points, and Insu-deck integrated with insulation. Dasco has major businesses in the building materials sector producing deck plates and insulation, as well as the energy sector including solar power facilities.
