Lotte Mart offers a refreshing summer experience for your mouth and ears with the 'Watermelon Song.'


On the 19th, Lotte Mart announced that it is collaborating with the indie band 'Kakimajem' to present the Watermelon Song.


Since early this month, the song has been played as summer-themed store music to easily and entertainingly convey the characteristics of the high-sugar, high-quality watermelons carefully selected and sold at Lotte Mart.

The Lotte Mart Watermelon Song originated from the idea of an MZ generation (Millennial + Gen Z) marketing manager who wanted to create an unforgettable song like the Red Bean Bingsu Song or Cold Noodles Song for summer. Using the melody and main lyrics of Kakimajem's song 'Watermelon,' the song playfully and cheerfully captures Lotte Mart's watermelon concept: 'high-quality watermelons that taste good even if not perfectly shaped' and 'high-sugar watermelons with over 11 Brix selected through 100% sugar content screening.'


The Watermelon Song, rewritten with three different versions of lyrics?'11 Types of Watermelon Song,' 'Refund if Not Tasty Song,' and 'Watermelon Song with Over 11 Brix Sugar Content Selection'?has attracted attention, surpassing 10,000 views within two days of being released on Lotte Mart’s official social media accounts.


Lotte Mart is holding a social media event until the 21st, inviting customers to leave their impressions of the Watermelon Song. Thirty winners will be selected by lottery to receive exchange vouchers for the K-variety 'Black Winner Watermelon.'


Meanwhile, to provide customers with quality-assured watermelons, Lotte Mart has strengthened its watermelon inspection process from four to seven stages since April. Along with managing a 'cultivation diary' that records the type of seedlings, planting time, and appropriate harvest time, professional inspectors conduct a total of five stages of sugar content screening to operate high-sugar watermelons with over 11 Brix.
