Dobong-gu to Complete Maintenance of Uicheon Embankment Path by December

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will actively promote environmental improvement maintenance for the aging embankment path along Uicheon.
This Uicheon embankment path maintenance project was proposed during a dialogue with residents in July last year. Reflecting Mayor Oh Eon-seok’s commitment to improvement, the maintenance budget of 1 billion KRW was secured through consultation with Seoul City, and the detailed design for the Uicheon embankment path maintenance was completed from November last year to April.
The maintenance target area is approximately 350m of the embankment path from upstream of Changbeongyo to near Sinchanggyo. By December, the project plans to complete maintenance by ▲ securing pedestrian space ▲ installing mesh fences and removing undergrowth in green areas ▲ installing nighttime walking lights along the Uicheon embankment path.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, “We will urgently improve existing aging river facilities that threaten safety, secure a pleasant walking space, and create a safe nighttime walking trail.”
