According to the Seoul Metropolitan Autonomous Police Committee, about 300,000 people are expected to gather at the ‘BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA’ event held from 2 PM to 10 PM around Yeouido Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Big Hit Music and HYBE, the event organizers, estimated that up to 750,000 people could attend this event.

At Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul, BTS leader RM will appear in person to communicate with fans, and from 8:30 PM, a fireworks show featuring BTS’s hit songs and Jungkook’s narration will take place.

Accordingly, the police will fully restrict a 1.5 km section of Yeouidong-ro from the southern end of Mapo Bridge to in front of the 63 Building starting at 2 PM. If crowds gather, Yeouisangryu IC and Gukje Geumyung-ro may also be restricted. Traffic patrol units plan to monitor illegal parking and stopping on bridges from Yanghwa Bridge to Hangang Bridge, as well as on Olympic-daero, Nodeul-ro, and Gangbyeonbuk-ro.

From noon on the day, four bus stops around Yeouidong-ro near the event site will be temporarily closed. Also, around the BTS 10th Anniversary fireworks show scheduled for 8:30 PM, Seoul Subway Line 5’s Yeouinaru Station may be passed without stopping to manage the crowd.

The police plan to install 374 signboards and banners around the restricted area on the event day and deploy about 630 personnel, including traffic police and management staff.

Accordingly, Seoul City will control the operation of four bus stops around Yeouidong-ro near the event site from noon and increase the frequency of subway lines 5 and 9 from 6 PM to 10 PM. Buses will be concentrated on routes passing through Yeouido Transfer Center, Yeouido Station, and Yeouinaru Station.

During the same period, about 10,000 people are expected to gather for (G)I-DLE’s concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium. The Lotte Family Concert will be held over the weekend at 6 PM at the KSOP Dome. Popular idol groups such as aespa, NCT DREAM, and Stray Kids will perform, attracting a huge crowd.

EBS character ‘Pengsoo’ will also hold a fan meeting from 6 PM at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall.

At Jamsil Baseball Stadium, a professional baseball game between Doosan and LG will be held, attracting about 20,000 spectators.

Large-scale rallies are also planned in the city center. The progressive civic group Candlelight Victory Transition Action (Candlelight Action) has reported the 9th nationwide concentrated candlelight rally demanding the resignation of President Yoon Seok-yeol and a special investigation into First Lady Kim Keon-hee. A preliminary rally with about 1,000 participants will be held from 3 PM, followed by the main rally with about 7,000 participants from 5 PM.

Also, the Construction Union of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions will hold a 49-day memorial rally from 5 PM to 10 PM, marching from the Seoul Finance Center to Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall to commemorate the late Yang Hoe-dong, who recently died by self-immolation. According to the Construction Union, about 2,000 people will attend this rally.

The Queer Culture Festival will be held in the public transportation-only zone in Jung-gu, Daegu.

Ahead of the Queer Culture Festival, conflicts are expected between the event organizers and Daegu City and Jung-gu authorities, and about 1,500 police officers have been deployed.

Daegu City and Jung-gu consider the road occupation for the Queer Culture Festival illegal and have announced administrative enforcement to prevent the organizers from setting up booths or stages. On the other hand, the police maintain that it is a legitimate assembly that must be guaranteed as much as possible under the Constitution and related laws.
