Saying hopes to get nomination from Kukhim

It has been reported that Mr. A, the president of a real estate development company who claims to be in a common-law relationship with Hwang Bo-seung-hee, a member of the People Power Party (Busan Jung-Yeongdo) embroiled in allegations of illegal political funding and personal life controversies, is preparing to run in next year's general election in the Busan area.

According to political circles on the 16th, Mr. A plans to run in the Busanjin Gap electoral district of Busan in the 22nd general election scheduled for April next year. Busanjin Gap is the constituency of Seo Byung-soo, a five-term senior member of the People Power Party who previously served as mayor of Busan.

Recently, Mr. A hung a large banner featuring a big photo of his face on a building in Yangjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan. The top of the banner included the phrase "Wishing for the 2030 Busan World Expo bid," and below it, his name was written in white on a red background.

Mr. A also hung banners with his name around Busanjin-gu around the time of Buddha’s Birthday.

Mr. A is known to be quite wealthy. He is reported to have mentioned the names of influential People Power Party lawmakers and Busan National Assembly members to acquaintances, saying he "hopes to receive the People Power Party nomination."

There is speculation that Mr. A, who once served as the chairman of the Democratic Party’s Nam-gu Gap regional committee in Busan, intended to run in the general election under the People Power Party with the assistance of Representative Hwang.

However, due to recent controversies surrounding Representative Hwang, it is interpreted that Mr. A’s nomination by the People Power Party has become practically difficult.
