Nyangyang-gun Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Association Holds 'Elderly Meal Preparation' Event

The Saemaeul Leaders Association and Saemaeul Women's Association of Ipam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, practiced neighborly love by holding the "Serving Meals to the Elderly" event on the 16th at the Seonbawi Area Community Welfare Center.

Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Leaders' Association and Saemaeul Women's Association held an Elderly Meal Preparation Event.

On this day, about 40 members prepared loving meals for approximately 150 elderly residents at the Seonbawi Area Community Welfare Center in Ipam-myeon.

Every year, the Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Association carries out various large and small neighbor-helping events such as kimchi sharing for the underprivileged in the area and creating happy homes, as well as environmental cleanup activities within the district, serving as a model for local residents.

Woo Jae-yoon, president of the Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Leaders Association, and Jang Myung-sook, president of the Saemaeul Women's Association, said, "We are glad to resume the 'Serving Meals to the Elderly' event, which had been suspended for a long time due to COVID-19, and we hope this occasion becomes a place of communication where the elderly can enjoy delicious food and check on each other's well-being."
