Busan Gijang-gun is operating special lectures for the 5060 middle-aged and older generation to strengthen their capabilities and help them design a new life.
The county has opened customized courses so that the middle-aged and older generation can continue to live independently as a new growth engine in a super-aged society.
The courses are held at Gijang-gunmin University for residents of Gijang-gun or workers located in Gijang-gun who were born on or before December 31, 1972.
In the 33rd term of Gijang-gunmin University, which started in March, four courses such as "Using Mobile Phones for the 5060 Middle-aged Generation" and "Dementia Care Instructor Training Course" were offered, providing students with an opportunity to respond to changes in the times and boost confidence for a second life leap.
Also, in the 34th term of Gijang-gunmin University starting on the 26th, six courses targeting the 5060 middle-aged generation, including "Easy Barista Course" and "With Just a Smartphone, I Can Be a YouTuber!" will be offered to support the capability enhancement of the middle-aged and older generation.
Jung Jong-bok, the head of Gijang-gun, said, "We will actively support the 5060 middle-aged generation to find new aptitudes and interests and start preparing for a healthy and happy old age."
