Preferential Hiring Benefits for Top Ranking Winners
Hyundai Mobis announced on the 15th that it will hold the "2023 Hyundai Mobis Algorithm Competition." The competition is open to university students and the general public aged 18 and over, and top-ranking winners will receive preferential hiring benefits.
This competition, which was previously held only for employees, was expanded to the general public starting in 2021. Applications are accepted until the 23rd of this month, followed by an online preliminary round on the 30th and an offline final on the 7th of next month. The top 50 participants from both the student and general divisions, a total of 100 people, will advance to the finals to compete. Participants can use any of four programming languages (C, C++, JAVA, Python). The format requires solving problems within a limited time and submitting source code.
Considering Hyundai Mobis’s business characteristics, the competition is expected to focus on embedded system development, with problems emphasizing constraints on memory, time, and programming languages.
The first-place winners in each category will receive a Kia Sportage Hybrid vehicle, second and third places will be awarded 10 million KRW and 5 million KRW respectively, and other winners will receive prizes including iPads and Galaxy Buds, with a total prize value of approximately 160 million KRW.
Top-ranking winners will be granted preferential hiring benefits such as exemption from document screening when applying for jobs. Ahead of the second half recruitment, networking programs including expert lectures and interactions with current employees will be offered to finalists.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Mobis also operates the "SW Top Talent Program" to boost morale among outstanding internal software (SW) talents. Core employees who pass the in-house SW certification exam held four times a year receive a 2-night, 3-day reward.
