Online and Offline Festival Held Concurrently
On the 15th, Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a Festival Promotion Committee meeting in the first conference room of the county office to decide the timing and direction of the 17th Cheongsong Apple Festival.
The 17th Cheongsong Apple Festival was agreed to be held for five days from November 1 to November 5, when Cheongsong apples are at their best and autumn tourists are concentrated, in the Yongjeoncheon Hyeonbiam area.
This year’s Cheongsong Apple Festival will be the second to be held since it was designated as a festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and plans to strengthen killer content and programs to match its stature.
In addition, to revitalize the local economy and encourage participation from the younger generation, the online festival, which received a positive response as a new attempt last year, will be held again this year alongside the offline festival.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “After much discussion considering various conditions, the committee members decided on the timing and direction of the festival,” adding, “We will do our best to breathe new life into Cheongsong-gun by preparing special measures to eradicate overcharging, which has recently become controversial at local festivals, and by creating a safe festival that meets the desire for festivals in the COVID-19 endemic era.”
