"Let's learn walking training methods for various situations such as flat ground, hills, and stairs, and heal together."
Gangseo-gu, Seoul, is recruiting 30 participants for the 'Healing Walking Exercise Class' to be held on the 29th at the Gangseo Lifelong Learning Center and Jungmisan Dullegil.
Walking without equipment is an aerobic exercise that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can easily do. It promotes blood circulation, reduces body fat, and strengthens muscles.
It also provides emotional stability by relieving stress and alleviating depression.
The exercise class will be conducted for two hours from 10 AM to 12 PM, combining theory and practice under the guidance of a walking expert instructor.
At the Gangseo Lifelong Learning Center, participants will learn about correct walking posture and its benefits, how to adjust walking speed, and walking methods for different situations.
Then, participants will take a healing walk along Jungmisan Dullegil. Only applicants can also receive a body composition test.
Applicants must be residents of Gangseo-gu aged 20 or older or employees working at businesses within the district. Participants should be able to engage in physical activity for more than two hours and wear sportswear and sneakers on the day of the event.
Those interested can apply by visiting or calling the Gangseo-gu Public Health Center Exercise Prescription Office by the 23rd.
An official from the district said, "Walking is one of the best exercises that can be done anywhere, helping both physical training and mental well-being," and added, "We hope many residents interested in correct walking posture and breathing techniques will participate."
