A female actress in her 30s, identified as A, was arrested by the police after crashing into a guardrail while driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the 13th, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul announced that A was booked on charges of drunk driving.
A is accused of driving under the influence on the Olympic-daero heading towards Hanam from Songpa-gu and Gangdong-gu in Seoul around 10:30 PM the previous day, during which she hit the guardrail twice.
The police responded to a report from a driver who noticed unusual movements of A’s vehicle. Later, A was found asleep behind the wheel while waiting at a traffic light at an intersection in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, and was apprehended.
A’s blood alcohol concentration was at the level warranting license cancellation. The police plan to investigate further using the vehicle’s black box and other evidence.
A debuted in 2009 and has worked as a lead and supporting actress in TV dramas and other productions.
