The "100-Year Rural Movement" is a nationwide campaign by Nonghyup to overcome the crisis of rural extinction and establish a sustainable foundation for 100 years of rural life. It is a collaborative effort involving the public, corporations, and government to build a new rural community that people want to visit, with abundant work and a desirable living environment.

On this day, more than 20 employees from Daehogunseol, partner companies, and the Nonghyup Jindo County Branch visited homes of farmers with mobility difficulties to perform wallpapering, flooring, and interior and exterior repairs.

In particular, the Nonghyup Jindo County Branch replaced some electronic appliances such as washing machines, TVs, and refrigerators that were old and difficult to use.

Meanwhile, on the 7th, at the Seojindo Nonghyup cooperative president’s office, a win-win agreement was signed with Jangsu S&P (CEO Oh Jun-young) to revitalize the local economy through agricultural product sales. They agreed to supply 10 tons of high-quality Seojindo Nonghyup rice monthly to a lunchbox manufacturer in Gwangju.

They pledged active cooperation to ensure that more agricultural products from Jindo County farms are sold, helping rural areas prosper further.

Kim Nam-jung, CEO of Daehogunseol, said, “Since signing the urban-rural love agreement last year, we have been paying attention to the sale of local agricultural products and providing homes for the local community, making efforts to offer even a little help.” He added, “We will continue to actively cooperate to create a better rural environment by leveraging the capabilities of our company.”

Ju Myeong-gyu, Branch Manager of the Jindo County Branch, expressed gratitude, saying, “We appreciate Daehogunseol for always showing interest in the development of agriculture and rural areas in Jindo County and for their efforts in agricultural product sales and community volunteer activities.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations to ensure the nationwide new rural construction through the 100-Year Rural Movement is firmly established.”

Daehogunseol Co., Ltd. signed the first urban-rural love movement business agreement in Jeonnam with Seojindo Nonghyup in September last year, actively promoting ESG management practices in agriculture and rural areas. They are striving to establish a solid practical cooperation project between Nonghyup and corporations for mutual growth.
