The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) reported that the average daily number of new confirmed cases from the 6th to the 12th was 16,441. This is a decrease of 1,274 cases (7.2%) compared to the average daily cases in the previous week (May 30 to June 5).
By day, the numbers were as follows: 19,508 on the 6th → 15,156 on the 7th → 20,450 on the 8th → 21,215 on the 9th → 17,772 on the 10th → 16,006 on the 11th → 4,982 on the 12th. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 31,904,667.
The average daily number of critically ill patients over the past week was 122, a 20.3% (31 patients) decrease from the previous week (153 patients). The number of deaths was 62, which is 7.5% (5 deaths) fewer than the previous week (67 deaths). The cumulative number of deaths is 34,893.
Since the 1st, the CDCH has lowered the COVID-19 crisis alert level from "Severe" to "Caution," changed the mandatory 7-day isolation for confirmed cases to a recommended 5-day isolation, and switched from daily to weekly COVID-19 statistics reporting.
