Gyeongju City has prepared a special event where visitors can taste famous craft beers from across the country to welcome early summer, following last spring's cherry blossom festival.
On the 12th, Gyeongju City announced that from the 16th to the 18th, the summer festival of the Four Seasons Festival, called the ‘Gyeongju Sulsul Festival,’ will be held at the Millennium Maru outdoor plaza of the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center (HICO).
The Gyeongju Four Seasons Festival is a unique festival that can only be experienced in Gyeongju, featuring content for spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and is a representative local festival held year-round.
At the festival site, 17 craft beer and traditional liquor breweries will participate, offering a wonderful opportunity to freely taste over 100 different types of alcoholic beverages.
In addition, food booths offering side dishes such as fried chicken, kebabs, takoyaki, and sausages will be available alongside refreshing craft beers, as well as food trucks serving egg waffles, coconut shrimp fries, and non-alcoholic beverages for children.
Especially during the festival, various performances including bands and DJing (EDM) will be held on stage for three days, adding fun and excitement.
To facilitate transportation for tourists and citizens, Gyeongju City plans to operate shuttle buses connecting major hubs such as Singyeongju Station, the intercity bus terminal, the gymnasium, Hwangridan-gil, and East Gyeongju with HICO, sponsored by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters.
Mayor Joo Nak-young said, “It is meaningful to hold the Gyeongju Four Seasons Festival again this year, where citizens and tourists can enjoy together. We have prepared more diverse food and entertainment, so we hope you come and find vitality to cool off the hot early summer.”
Gyeongju City plans to continue the Four Seasons Festival with the ‘Gyeongju Healing Festa’ in October and the ‘Gyeongju Light Life Shot Festa,’ themed around the beautiful nights of Gyeongju, in December.
