On the 12th, JW Group announced that it has moved its headquarters to the 'JW Gwacheon Building' located in Galhyeon-dong, Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi Province.

The JW Gwacheon Building was established based on a large-scale convergence research facility where JW Group's R&D personnel are concentrated. The new building has a total floor area of 35,557㎡ (10,756 pyeong) and consists of 4 basement floors and 11 above-ground floors. This is twice the total floor area of the previous Seoul Seocho Building, which was 19,240㎡ (5,820 pyeong).

In particular, research facilities occupy more than half of the total floor area of the new building, spanning five above-ground floors (19,734㎡). This space houses the research personnel of the group companies, including JW Pharmaceutical’s new drug, formulation, and raw material research centers, which were previously scattered.

JW Group plans to focus more on developing innovative new drugs, the group’s main research area, along with next-generation infusion solutions, precision in vitro diagnostic products, and advanced medical devices at the Gwacheon Building. Especially, it will enhance research efficiency by integrating and operating data science platforms such as JWELRY and CLOVER, which were independently developed, along with research equipment and reagents. Additionally, the use of electronic journals and electronic research notes will be expanded across all research departments, and the company plans to build a smart lab environment by advancing the R&D platform incorporating AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning technologies, as well as introducing automated raw material synthesis robots.

Subsidiaries such as JW Holdings, JW Pharmaceutical, and JW New Drug have also moved their development, management, and marketing departments into the building. The JW Gwacheon Building has introduced a smart office environment that allows flexible use of workspaces, including a real-time autonomous seat and meeting room reservation system. Furthermore, the top floor, the 11th floor, is designed as a cafeteria and rooftop garden, while the 1st and 2nd floors feature a multipurpose complex cultural space accessible not only to employees but also to citizens, including the JW History Hall, a caf?, a performance hall, and a studio.

A JW Group official said, "The JW Gwacheon Building will be operated as a space that focuses on the essence of work and realizes the value of respecting life," adding, "As the R&D heart that will lead JW’s future, we will drive innovation with creative capabilities that break down boundaries."
