Pernod Ricard Launches 'Secret Speyside' Collection

Rare and Select Whiskeys from Four Distilleries

Pernod Ricard Korea announced on the 12th that it will launch the rare single malt whisky collection "Secret Speyside" from hidden distilleries.

The newly introduced Secret Speyside products include three limited-edition varieties: CAPERDONICH 30YO, CAPERDONICH PEAT 25YO, and BRAE'S OF GLENLIVET 30YO.

The Secret Speyside collection consists of single malt whiskies produced in small batches through traditional handcrafted methods at four of the rarest distilleries in Speyside, Scotland (Caperdonich, Longmorn, Glen Keith, Brae's of Glenlivet). All products are aged for at least 18 years. They are rare due to their limited small-scale production and offer unique flavors and special experiences.

First, two single malts matured with precious distillate from the now-closed Caperdonich distillery, which opened in 1898, are introduced. The Caperdonich 30YO, aged in first-fill American oak barrels, delivers a complex flavor combining ripe fruit and sweetness, with a finish that is soft and warm with spices that linger smoothly and long. The Caperdonich Peated 25YO was matured in hogshead casks; its rich peat aroma is excellently balanced with scents of green apple and sweet pear, blending smokiness and a slight saltiness to complete a long and smooth finish.

The Brae's of Glenlivet 30YO is the first official single malt released from Scotland's highest distillery, matured in American oak barrels and hogshead casks. It features an aroma combining tropical fruits like mango with spices, and a long-lasting, sweet finish with fruit flavors that stimulate the palate, including juicy orange, blackberry jam, and marzipan.
