Producing Goods by Recycling Waste Resources on Campus
Implementing a Project to Return Sales Profits
HiteJinro continues its eco-friendly activities this year by launching the ‘Clean Campus’ project for its clean lager, Terra.
On the 12th, HiteJinro announced that it signed a business agreement with the fashion brand ULKIN, which has been building its heritage as an upcycling brand since 2014, to carry out the first ‘Clean Campus’ eco-friendly project this year. The plan is to contribute to fulfilling social responsibility through eco-friendly marketing activities focused on Terra’s core value of cleanliness.
ULKIN established its position in the industry from the early stages by transforming unused and discarded painting practice canvases into fashion items. Recently, it was selected as the Best Brand at the 2023 Fall/Winter Seoul Fashion Week, opening the event, and has also participated in Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, two of the world’s top four fashion weeks, gaining attention in the industry.
The Clean Campus project by HiteJinro operates year-round through collaborations with various brands as part of social and environmental activities that collect promotional materials used at festivals and waste resources within universities to produce goods, with the proceeds returned to university students.
As the first activity of the project, HiteJinro plans to collect discarded paintings from art universities and Terra promotional materials used at major festivals such as banners, and through collaboration with ULKIN, transform them into upcycled goods.
The limited edition goods produced will be sold in July on major online shopping malls where ULKIN is featured, such as Musinsa, Coupang, and Naver Smart Store, and the proceeds will be used to purchase art supplies to be donated to current art university students.
