Zelensky: "Counterattacking Russia"... No Comment on Details

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, announced that counteroffensive operations against Russian forces are underway.

On the 10th (local time), during a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who visited the capital Kyiv, President Zelensky said, "Counteroffensive and defensive operations are taking place in Ukraine, but I will not go into detail about the stage they are at," according to foreign media including AFP.

Although reports have been emerging that the Ukrainian military has launched a large-scale counteroffensive in southeastern regions such as Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian authorities have remained silent and have refrained from using the term "large-scale counteroffensive."

President Zelensky named the top commanders of the Ukrainian military one by one and said, "They are all in a positive mood. Please convey that to Putin," smiling together with Prime Minister Trudeau.

The previous day, Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned for the first time that Ukraine's counteroffensive had begun, stating, "So far, the Ukrainian regime has not achieved its objectives in any combat zone."
