Helinox Collaboration Side Table and More
Gift Reservations Increase by 24% Compared to Last Year

Starbucks Korea's giveaway event, the 'Summer e-Frequency' event, has once again been a success this year. Stickers provided with beverage purchases were traded on the secondhand marketplace Danggeun Market for 1,000 to 2,000 KRW each, and a complete set of 17 stickers was sold for tens of thousands of won, creating a remarkable scene.

A Danggeun Market user posted, "Selling Starbucks Frequency for 1,300 KRW," while another user posted, "Five Starbucks Frequencies for 7,000 KRW."

On the 10th, Starbucks Korea announced that the reservation rate for receiving e-Frequency giveaway items during the one week from the 25th to the 31st of last month was 24% higher compared to the same period last year, and the number of accesses to the Starbucks application (app) to collect e-Frequency increased by 32% compared to the previous week (May 18?24).

Additionally, on the first day of the event, the 25th of last month, app access increased by an average of 50% compared to the previous day, with a particularly sharp increase of 80% between 5 and 6 p.m.

This year’s goods include three types of 'Starbucks Side Tables' created in collaboration with the global outdoor brand Helinox, and two types of 'Starbucks Fan and Plate' (a combination of pan and plate) produced by a kitchenware specialist company. In particular, the tables co-created with Helinox gained popularity, reportedly increasing event participation.

The summer giveaway event has been held for 11 years since 2013 as a gratitude event, providing Starbucks goods to members who purchase 17 beverages, including three mission drinks.

Starbucks’ summer goods have been popular in the past as well. Before the introduction of the reservation system in 2020, many customers lined up in front of stores from early morning or sold the summer giveaway items secondhand at a premium to receive them.

Among these, last year’s popular giveaway item, the 'Summer Carry Bag,' sparked controversy after carcinogenic substances (formaldehyde) were detected in the product.
