BNK Busan Bank produced the ‘Dongbaek愛 Happy Mom Box’ on the 9th to support low-income families with newborns.
The ‘Happy Mom Box’ support project, conducted annually since 2017, is a social contribution initiative aimed at alleviating the economic burden of low-income families with newborns in the Busan area and addressing the low birthrate issue.
The ‘Happy Mom Box,’ made directly by 42 new trainees of Busan Bank in 2023 at the Busan Bank Training Center, consists of 12 types of childbirth and childcare products worth about 200,000 KRW, including diapers and a temperature and humidity monitor.
The ‘Happy Mom Box’ will be sequentially delivered to 250 low-income families with newborns through the Busan Community Chest of Korea, Busan Care Social Service Center, and Busan Single Mother and Father Support Center.
Kang Seok-rae, Head of Business Planning at Busan Bank, said, “We hope that the support of the Happy Mom Box will provide some relief to the childcare burdens of low-income families with newborns,” adding, “We will continue to lead social contribution projects to solve various community issues, including the low birthrate problem.”
On the same morning, the new trainees also took the lead in community service activities by conducting plogging for environmental cleanup around Ilgwang Beach.
