Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, visited the Jinhae-gu Environmental Basic Facilities Complex on the 9th to spend time contemplating the future direction of Changwon City's environmental policies.
Located in Deoksan-dong, Jinhae-gu, this environmental basic facilities complex houses the Jinhae Clean Water Recycling Center, Deoksan Household Waste Landfill, and Jinhae Incineration Plant, and is responsible for treating sewage, household waste, and recyclable waste generated in Jinhae-gu.
During the site visit, Mayor Hong inspected the operation status of the facilities, reviewed the progress of the ongoing 'Jinhae Clean Water Recycling Center Expansion Project' and the 'Deoksan Landfill Phase 3 Development Project,' and took time to consider the expansion of Jinhae-gu and the future location of environmental basic facilities.
Mayor Hong stated, "I am well aware of the functional necessity of environmental basic facilities and the conflicts arising from their locations as the population of Jinhae-gu increases and numerous urban development projects are underway. I am always thinking about the wisest ways to resolve these issues."
