Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, is completely revamping its website to significantly enhance smartphone accessibility.

The revamped website aims to officially launch its service in December. It will focus on improving the quality of public web services to meet the changing mobile-centered internet environment and the heightened expectations of residents, as well as to ensure that citizens can conveniently and safely use public websites in accordance with the Electronic Government Act and other regulations.

The previous day's meeting was attended mainly by those responsible for the existing website, the newly developing main website, affiliated websites, and key teams driving major administrative tasks.

The main project details, redevelopment direction, and implementation schedule were primarily shared. Attendees offered various opinions necessary for project design, development, and implementation, followed by a Q&A session.

The newly revamped website will apply responsive web technology that displays the same screen on PCs, smartphones, and tablets. Additionally, new pages such as the ‘Children’s Safety Experience Center Reservation Page’ and the ‘Hometown Love Donation System Information Page’ will be created.

Once the full revamp of the main website is completed, the county plans to lead the transition to cloud computing services to provide better public services.

Park Jeong-su, Director of the Administrative Support Division, said, “The main website, which is the face of Wanju-gun, serves as a digital window for communication with residents, and we hope it will be revamped into a user-centered website reflecting the characteristics of Wanju-gun. We will strive to provide more convenient and higher-quality public services.”
