Gyeonggi-do's 'Integrity Education' Using Cultural Contents Like Pansori and Dramas Draws Attention Gyeonggi Province held the "2023 Integrity Live Opening Change and Opportunity" on the 9th at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Auditorium, attended by Governor Kim Dong-yeon and over 400 senior officials of grade 4 and above.

Gyeonggi Province is drawing attention by attempting integrity education for high-ranking officials that moves away from heavy and formal training to incorporate various cultural contents.

On the 9th, Gyeonggi Province held the '2023 Integrity Live: Opening Change and Opportunity' at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Auditorium, attended by Governor Kim Dong-yeon and over 400 high-ranking officials of grade 4 and above.

On this day, Integrity Live was conducted as a concert-style educational program organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute, utilizing various cultural contents such as performances and videos to help public officials understand and practice the somewhat heavy topic of 'integrity' more easily and familiarly.

In particular, various programs emphasizing the importance of practicing integrity values were prepared, including 'New Byeoljubu-jeon,' which reinterpreted traditional pansori with a modern sensibility, the sand art 'The Day I Became Number One' produced from the winning entry of the integrity content contest, and a special lecture on 'Preventing Power Harassment for a Horizontal Workplace Culture,' attracting attention.

Also showcased was the web drama 'Office Integrity,' the grand prize-winning work of the integrity content contest, which humorously conveyed various types of power harassment that can easily occur in the workplace.

Before the education session, Gyeonggi Province conducted a 'Campaign for Realizing Integrity in Gyeonggi.'

Employees wrote integrity pledge message cards and hung them on the Integrity Practice Tree, filling it with fruits, and distributed integrity drip bag coffee and integrity bookmarks engraved with integrity slogans.

Governor Kim Dong-yeon emphasized, "Gyeonggi Province has decided to apply a zero-tolerance principle for three issues related to integrity: sexual harassment, power harassment, and corruption, and will not overlook even a single mistake," adding, "If anything contrary to the essence of integrity occurs, it is a betrayal of the people who have entrusted us with great responsibility and authority."

He continued, "If we summarize the deep and broad philosophy of Dasan in one word, it is Gongnyeom (Fairness + Integrity). Integrity is both the duty and pride of public officials. Let us take pride in ourselves by fulfilling the obligations we must uphold," he urged.

This year, Gyeonggi Province is promoting various integrity policies linked to Audit 4.0, which is established from the perspective of residents, including ▲ revitalizing public-private governance with residents ▲ internalizing integrity awareness through diverse educational methods ▲ preparing measures to eradicate power harassment ▲ minimizing corruption cases through prevention and management.
