Compensaide is a carbon offset program that allows individual travelers to check the carbon emissions generated from air travel in advance and purchase 'Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)' accordingly or participate in various global climate protection projects to reduce carbon usage. SAF is a biofuel made from non-fossil resources such as animal and vegetable oils and household waste gas, known to reduce carbon emissions by up to 80%. Lufthansa Group introduced this in 2021.

The newly released product is the Swiss Business Package (6 nights, 8 days), which includes two options: 'Compensaide SAF (departing in June),' where a portion of the payment is used to purchase SAF, and 'Compensaide Climate Protection Project (departing in August),' which donates to environmental protection activities such as tree planting. Prices start from 8.49 million KRW per person.

Baekhyun, CEO of Lotte Tour Development, said, "In Korea, Korean Air has only been mixing SAF on the Paris-Incheon route since February, which is a very basic level compared to the global trend," adding, "As a leading domestic travel agency, we will develop various travel products that allow people to enjoy travel while reducing carbon emissions."
