The Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency will hold the ‘2023 National Youth Reading Debate Festival Teacher Workshop’ at 10 a.m. on the 10th at the Jeongdong 1928 Art Center in Seoul. Teachers from 160 middle and high schools selected through a public contest in April will participate.
The event will be conducted with guidance on running reading debates. The schedule includes ▲ presentations of outstanding participating teacher cases from the previous year ▲ a book concert ▲ and a reading debate skill enhancement class.
After the workshop, each school will autonomously operate the reading debate program until October. The Publication Promotion Agency plans to publish a casebook based on the operation reports.
A representative from the Publication Promotion Agency stated, “Since the event, which had been held only online due to COVID-19, is being held offline for the first time in a long while, it will be an opportunity to expand exchanges among participating teachers and enhance professionalism. Starting with this event, we will strive to smoothly promote and improve the quality of the National Youth Reading Debate Festival project.”
