The ‘Public Building Green Remodeling Project’ is a program led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport aimed at improving the energy efficiency of aging buildings by upgrading insulation and replacing equipment with high-efficiency systems to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Seonsan Health Center has been selected for the Public Building Green Remodeling Project for three consecutive years, securing 1.6 billion KRW in national and provincial funding. The green remodeling projects for Seonsan Health Center, Haepyeong-myeon Health Center, Daebang, and Yeonak Health Clinics have been completed, welcoming citizens in a more comfortable environment.

This year, four locations?Dogae and Jangcheon Health Centers, and Gasan and Songbaek Health Clinics?have been selected, and detailed design is underway with project commencement planned for the first half of the year.

Additionally, as part of the green remodeling project, some asbestos-containing ceiling materials are being removed, and efforts are being made to create health facilities that citizens can use like a community gathering place in line with the COVID-19 endemic phase.

To secure national funding for eight health centers and clinics requiring green remodeling, Kwon Jun-gyeong, director of Seonsan Health Center, visited the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the supervising agency, and held meetings with officials to actively request support to ensure project selection.
