If you are a Korean Air Skypass member, starting from the 9th, anyone will be able to use mileage to purchase Korean Air in-flight duty-free products. This is done by using discount vouchers for in-flight duty-free products issued through the Korean Air website at the online duty-free store ‘Skyshop (SKYSHOP)’.
There are two types of discount vouchers, USD 20 and USD 50, which can be issued by redeeming 2,800 miles and 6,800 miles of Korean Air mileage, respectively. Vouchers can be used once per purchase for duty-free products worth at least USD 20. However, the vouchers cannot be used for alcoholic beverages, which cannot be ordered online.
When using Korean Air’s online in-flight duty-free store ‘Skyshop,’ orders and cancellations for short-haul international routes (China, Japan) are possible up to 48 hours before boarding, and for other medium- and long-haul routes (Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia), up to 72 hours before boarding.
Since June last year, Korean Air has been running the ‘Skypass Deal’ promotion, allowing members to purchase various daily necessities with mileage, receiving positive feedback. Additionally, starting in the second half of this year, mileage accumulation benefits will be added when purchasing in-flight duty-free products online in advance, enhancing convenience for members.
Going forward, Korean Air plans to develop various mileage products and expand redemption options to enable Skypass members to use their mileage easily and conveniently.
