The three villages plan to carry out various projects over four years, including housing maintenance projects such as demolishing abandoned houses and slate roofs, road maintenance within the villages, remodeling of village halls, and strengthening resident capabilities.

Boseong-gun established a solid project plan centered on a promotion committee composed of local residents, collecting residents’ opinions and consulting experts, and was finally selected after the first evaluation by Jeollanam-do and the second evaluation by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

A Boseong-gun official said, “We expect this project to greatly contribute to improving residents’ quality of life and balanced regional development,” adding, “We will do our best to carry out the project with completeness.”

Meanwhile, the Vulnerable Area Living Conditions Improvement Project is a project that improves living conditions closely related to residents’ lives, such as slate roof replacement, old house maintenance, fence and retaining wall maintenance, improvement of traditional toilets, water supply and sewage maintenance, and elderly care to revitalize resident communities.

Boseong-gun has been participating in the ‘Vulnerable Area Living Conditions Improvement Project’ since 2015 and has been selected for six consecutive years since 2019.
