Seodaemun Career and Academic Support Center Opens... Promoting Special Lectures on Study Methods and Career and Academic Guidance Sessions
Parent Academy, High School Entrance Exam Fair, and On-site Career and Academic Consulting at Schools Also Planned
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) has established the 'Seodaemun Career and Academic Support Center' on the 4th floor of the Youth Startup Center (43 Susaek-ro) and began operations this month.
The center is the first specialized educational institution for career, academic advancement, and study in the area, covering 158㎡ and consisting of lecture rooms, counseling rooms 1 and 2, a YouTube studio, a lounge, and offices.
Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Saturday (until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
The district provides systematic and professional services through private consignment, offering special lectures on study methods, career and academic guidance sessions by entrance exam experts, and personalized one-on-one study consulting for local elementary, middle, and high school students and their parents.
Additionally, the center promotes ▲ the ‘Parent Academy’ where parents can consult on study, entrance exams, academic advancement, and child education issues ▲ the ‘High School Entrance Exam Fair’ informing prospective high school freshmen about entrance policies and outlooks ▲ and the ‘On-site Career and Academic Consulting at Schools’ to enhance student convenience.
At the opening ceremony held on the 1st of this month, Seodaemun-gu Mayor Lee Seongheon stated, “We expect that collaboration between the government, academia, and the center will help youth career planning and reduce private education expenses.”
The center plans to launch a website and SNS accounts within this month to provide various career and academic information online as well.
