Flood of Visits for Various Health Project Inspections

Inquiries and visits from public health centers nationwide are continuously coming in to observe the excellent cases of operation and commissioned medical treatment at the Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center in Gyeongbuk.

The Danyang-gun Public Health Center in Chungbuk has visited three times since 2020, the Gapyeong-gun Public Health Center in Gyeonggi Province visited twice in 2021 and 2022, and in April 2023, the Pyeongchang-gun Public Health Center and in June, the Hadong-gun Public Health Center visited Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center to benchmark the establishment, operation, and commissioned medical treatment of the health and medical center.

In particular, the Gapyeong-gun Public Health Center's Health and Medical Center Establishment Promotion Team, composed of county council members, private committee members, and related public officials, visited to receive explanations about the overall operation of the health and medical center and toured various facilities and medical staff accommodations.

Cheongsong-gun Health and Medical Center is the only one nationwide that operates the medical treatment sector through private commissioning, achieving effects such as hiring employed doctors in internal medicine, family medicine, and orthopedics?fields difficult to access in rural areas?Saturday medical treatment, and creating jobs by employing all staff of commissioned hospitals from local residents. It has also improved medical accessibility through the operation of inpatient rooms and emergency rooms.

Recently, efforts have been made to improve energy performance and efficiency of the aging buildings of the health and medical center through green remodeling construction and to attract specialized medical staff by building accommodations for medical personnel, aiming for better medical services and improvement of the vulnerable rural medical environment.

In addition, benchmarking of excellent health projects is increasing. In May 2022, the Gumi City Public Health Center, in November, the Pohang Nam-gu Public Health Center, and from April to May this year, the Graduate School of Public Health at Kyungpook National University and Seongju-gun visited to observe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular prevention health management projects and the Hyunseo-myeon Healthy Village creation project.
