Ha Tae-kyung "Lee Rae-kyung Resignation? Lee Jae-myung's Personal Coup Attempt Failed"

"Lee, whose goal is the presidential election, will never resign"

Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, claimed that Lee Rae-gyeong, Honorary Director of Dareun Baeknyeon, who was appointed as the Innovation Committee Chairperson by Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and voluntarily resigned due to controversies related to the Cheonan ship sinking, was brought in as the "chairperson to expel the non-Lee Jae-myung faction (Bi-myeong faction)." He said, "The reason why the issue with Lee Rae-gyeong as Innovation Committee Chairperson is so noisy is because his task was to expel the Bi-myeong faction," and added, "He was recruited as the chairperson to expel the Bi-myeong faction."

On the same day, Ha appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' and said, "The Innovation Committee should be selecting better personnel, but it seems to be heading toward an uncompromising fight between the pro-Lee Jae-myung (Chin-myeong) and Bi-myeong factions," adding, "The essence is Lee Jae-myung's anti-Bi-myeong expulsion coup, a failed personal guard coup."

Regarding the Bi-myeong faction raising calls for Lee's resignation, he interpreted, "The intention to drive him out was clearly visible, so they are demanding accountability. They are trying to oust him."

Ha predicted that Lee would not resign. He said, "He will never step down. Therefore, he is trying to lead the general election in a self-centered and self-directed manner," and added, "The Bi-myeong faction feels that if they do not expel him, they will be expelled themselves."

He also foresaw that factional conflicts within the Democratic Party would intensify. Ha explained, "Except for the 'Gaeddal' (a nickname for pro-Lee Jae-myung female supporters), the majority of the public thinks that Lee stepping down would be innovation," and said, "In that sense, it seems the Bi-myeong faction is gaining public opinion, but within the party, the Bi-myeong faction is falling behind." He continued, "Since Lee's actual goal is to run in the next presidential election, it seems he believes going independently without the Bi-myeong faction might be much more advantageous."

Regarding Lee's statement of 'infinite responsibility,' Ha criticized, "Lee is a master at deceiving the public," and said, "His words are about infinite responsibility, but his actions are irresponsible." Ha added, "Infinite responsibility is a phrase used when resigning, but it ends with words. There is no apology, no resignation, nothing in action."

Earlier, on the 7th, Lee stated regarding Lee Rae-gyeong's voluntary resignation, "As the party leader holds authority, whether internal discussions were sufficient or not, everything is discussed thoroughly and carried out," and added, "Taking infinite responsibility for the outcome is the role of the party leader."
