Medical AI solution company Huron announced on the 8th that it has recruited Park Chan-ik, former Head of Marketing at Lunit, as Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Vice President to strengthen domestic and international business competitiveness. Huron also hired executive-level personnel with extensive experience in the global healthcare sector, including Samsung Electronics and GE Healthcare.
New Vice President Park Chan-ik is a business expert in the AI healthcare field. He will play a central role in the overall AI solution business for neurological disease diagnosis, which is Huron's main focus. He is recognized for leading successful business models for medical AI companies by overseeing domestic and international business development and clinical marketing at Lunit.
Vice President Park graduated from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University and earned a master's degree from the same university's graduate school. Before joining Lunit, he gained comprehensive experience in business strategy and financial management at Siemens Healthineers, including overseeing interventional procedure equipment business, expertise in magnetic resonance imaging equipment, and serving as a business unit financial controller. Kang Eun-sil, Director of Strategic Planning who led global marketing at Johnson & Johnson Medical Sales & Marketing and Samsung Electronics Medical Device Business Division, and Ko Sung-min, Director of Imaging Development Team and MRI expert at GE Healthcare, also joined Huron.
Huron is a company that owns more than 20 brain-related products, starting with the world's first MRI-based Parkinson's disease diagnostic support AI software, 'Huron IPD.' It also developed the first domestic AI integrated solution for stroke diagnosis support. CEO Shin Dong-hoon, a professor at Gachon University Gil Medical Center, is concurrently managing his academic position and business.
