Strengthening Competitiveness in Content Commerce
Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with new media content company The SMC Group to collaborate on a deal commerce business based on content intellectual property (IP) (content combining entertainment and purchase benefits).
The two companies agreed to mutually cooperate on ▲ launching new content IP ▲ jointly planning and producing deal commerce content ▲ marketing to activate channels.
Lotte Homeshopping launched the YouTube entertainment channel Naenna Studio last February. It is strengthening its content commerce competitiveness by showcasing beauty, golf, mukbang, and music entertainment.
The SMC Group is a new media content company operating over 150 brand media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and blogs, producing more than 30,000 pieces of content annually.
A Lotte Homeshopping official said, “As part of strengthening media commerce, we have signed a business agreement with comprehensive content company The SMC Group to promote the deal commerce business. We plan to present content that offers customers fun and reasonable shopping opportunities by utilizing the infrastructure of both companies.”
