Gyeonggi-do Recruits 400 'Baby Boomer Frontier' Community Problem Solvers Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 400 participants for the 'Baby Boomer Frontier' from the 8th to the 27th of this month.


Baby Boomer Frontier is a social value-creating job project that contributes to solving community problems by utilizing the experiences and careers of the baby boomer generation.


The Frontier is divided into climate/environment, digital, and care sectors. The specific recruitment numbers are ▲ climate/environment sector: bicycle upcycling team (40 people), pet etiquette guardians (60 people) ▲ digital sector: media promotion team (40 people), memory restoration team (80 people) ▲ care sector: residential environment improvement team (180 people).


Anyone aged 50 to 69 as of the application date, unemployed, and a resident of Gyeonggi Province can apply. Baby boomers wishing to participate in the project can apply online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's Jobaba Apply platform. Afterwards, applicants will undergo document screening and interviews before the final candidates are announced.


The finally selected baby boomers will receive preliminary training necessary for activities in each sector and then work as climate/environment, digital, or care frontiers for up to 5 months (within 57 hours per month).


Lee Eun-sook, Director of the Baby Boomer Opportunity Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This Baby Boomer Frontier project is one of the Baby Boomer Opportunity Package projects under the 8th local government administration, and it is very meaningful in that it attempts flexible job support following policies that have so far focused on full-time job support."
