Gyeonggi-do Utilizes Over 32,000 Licensed Real Estate Offices to Identify Vulnerable Households Gyeonggi-do Emergency Welfare Hotline Promotional Material

Gyeonggi Province is actively utilizing real estate agencies to identify households in crisis within welfare blind spots.


On the 8th, Gyeonggi Province announced plans to attach promotional materials and distribute flyers for the 'Gyeonggi Province Emergency Welfare Call Center (Emergency Welfare Hotline)' to 32,357 real estate agencies across the province.


Additionally, Gyeonggi Province will post 'Emergency Welfare Hotline' promotional posters at 159 Korea Railroad Corporation stations within the province.


Previously, to identify welfare blind spots, Gyeonggi Province expanded reporting channels for neighbors in crisis through agreements with various organizations such as the Real Estate Agents Association, Beauty and Hairdressing Association, delivery companies, city gas companies, and religious groups.


Kim Neung-sik, Director of the Welfare Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We expect real estate agencies, which are closely connected to residents, to play a significant role in identifying vulnerable groups. We will strengthen promotional activities at community-based service institutions like real estate agencies to find households in crisis within welfare blind spots and provide services that meet the welfare needs of residents."


Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province plans to expand its directly managed 'Welfare Discovery Team' from the current level of 10,000 members to 50,000 by 2025.
