Creating a Business-Friendly Environment and Responding to Regional Decline
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) has decided to actively expand support for investment attraction companies.
According to Gokseong-gun, to overcome the investment sentiment contraction caused by various factors such as COVID-19 and to promote new investments by companies within the region, they are establishing and reorganizing their own investment support system.
The scope of investment subsidy support has been expanded from companies located only in local agricultural and industrial complexes to companies located individually outside these complexes, strengthening competitiveness in attracting excellent and outstanding companies.
Major support includes up to 400 million KRW for land purchase costs for new, expanded, or relocated factories by companies that have signed investment agreements with the county, up to 500 million KRW for facility subsidies, and up to 100 million KRW for infrastructure development costs such as roads and water supply connections.
Through this, the plan is to attract excellent companies capable of creating quality jobs.
Additionally, to alleviate the logistics cost burden faced by companies due to high interest rates and inflation, partial costs incurred when transporting finished products outside the region are also supported for companies located within the county.
Support of up to 2 million KRW is provided, which is expected to help increase the local population through support for dormitory rent for workers within companies and support for households of relocated workers.
A Gokseong-gun official stated, “We are creating favorable conditions for companies within the region by expanding support for investment companies through the implementation plan for investment attraction. We will continue to strive to contribute to job creation and revitalization of the local economy through attracting new companies.”
