Gangnam-gu Signs Business Agreement with KT to Promote Robot Business

On the 7th at the district office... Promoting ‘Future Urban Delivery Service’ where robots deliver food, daily necessities, etc. to apartments

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) signed a business agreement with KT on the 7th at the district office to promote service robots.

The two organizations agreed to actively cooperate in providing and expanding the ‘Future Urban Delivery Service,’ which uses outdoor delivery robots to deliver food, daily necessities, parcels, and more closely related to residents' lives.

The district will promote ▲ demand surveys and public hearings to select robot service desired areas such as apartments within the region ▲ discovery of regulations related to robot services ▲ infrastructure construction.

KT will implement ▲ discovering service providers and building cooperative systems to activate the business ▲ supporting and operating outdoor delivery robots ▲ establishing delivery service platforms and integrated control.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “Through this public-private business agreement, we will create a future urban robot delivery service model,” and added, “We will continue to lead the introduction of innovative technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution to build Gangnam as a robot-friendly future city.”
