Seodaemun-gu Hosts Special Lecture by Dr. Choi Dong-cheol, Korea's First Sports Specialist Anchor

Lecture titled 'The Secret to Success, You Can Become a Star Too'

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seong-heon) has been holding special lectures for residents to gain wisdom and knowledge across generations from renowned figures and experts in various fields.

This month, they invited Dr. Choi Dong-cheol, known as the "Living Encyclopedia of the Sports World." Dr. Choi will give a lecture titled "The Secret to Success, You Can Become a Star Too" at 2 PM on the 16th in the large auditorium on the 6th floor of the district office.

Dr. Choi Dong-cheol, Korea's first sports specialist anchor, has been studying sports news and related background knowledge for over 50 years and currently communicates with sports fans through YouTube.

In 1994, Dr. Choi was the first to separately schedule and present sports news immediately following KBS1's "9 o'clock News," achieving a viewership rating of 33% with this program.

Lee Seong-heon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, "We expect Dr. Choi's special lecture to be an opportunity to broaden understanding of sports, which brings joy and unity to the people."
