SAMG Entertainment (CEO Kim Suhoon, hereinafter SAMG Entertainment)'s new work, "Metal Card Bot," is rapidly emerging as a popular IP (intellectual property).
On the 7th, SAMG Entertainment announced that its 3D animation Metal Card Bot recorded a highest viewership rating of 3.03% among 6-year-old boys (Daekyo Children TV).
Metal Card Bot is a boy action robot series released by SAMG Entertainment about 10 years after Mini Force. The story excitingly depicts the adventures of the protagonist "Jun," who discovers Metal Card Bots living on Earth disguised as vehicles such as police cars and trucks.
Since its first broadcast on March 29, Metal Card Bot's viewership ratings have been on the rise, growing into a popular IP. The highest ratings have steadily increased from 1.7% (10-year-old boys) to 2.68% (10-year-old boys), and 3.03% (6-year-old boys).
In the kids animation industry, a 1% viewership rating is considered the benchmark for success. The fact that Metal Card Bot surpassed the 3% mark in its highest rating is significant as it shows the series is growing into a popular IP.
Metal Card Bot toys are also receiving favorable reviews. Among kidults (kid + adult), Metal Card Bot is attracting great attention to the extent that it is called the "robot version of Catch! Tini Ping." The toys are characterized by a unique concept that combines collectible robots with cards that transform into weapons.
A SAMG Entertainment representative said, "Metal Card Bot will expand its product line not only with toys but also with card-based games and food & beverage (F&B) products. Additionally, Metal Card Bot aims to enter the Chinese market within this year."
