Pulmuone Foods announced on the 7th that it has launched meal replacement rice cakes 'Urisal Protein Jeolmi & Protein Seolgi,' which offer a soft and chewy texture along with protein for added nutrition.

The new products are traditional rice cakes enhanced with 100% plant-based protein. During the kneading process, isolated soy protein is added to allow consumers to intake protein together with the rice cakes. Pulmuone Foods has introduced traditional rice cake products for the first time, focusing on the trend of traditional snacks gaining popularity especially among younger generations.


UriSal Protein Jeolmi is made with 100% domestically grown glutinous rice using traditional methods. It is crafted using Pulmuone’s 'traditional kneading technique' to maximize a chewy and elastic texture. Coated with soft and moist castella crumbs, it offers a subtle sweetness and a tender mouthfeel.


UriSal Protein Seolgi is made by finely powdering 100% domestically grown non-glutinous rice, resulting in a fluffy texture. A black sugar filling between the layers provides sweetness and smooth swallowing. When microwaved for 1 minute per piece, it delivers the soft and chewy texture of freshly steamed Baekseolgi as if just made at a mill.


The new products are online-exclusive and can be purchased through Pulmuone’s integrated brand shopping platform '#Pulmuone(ShopPulmuone)' as well as online malls such as Coupang.
