Jeonse Damage Support Center Established on the 1st Floor of Gwangjin-gu Office’s Real Estate Information Division on the 1st

From Receiving Reports of Jeonse Fraud Damage and Investigating Damage Facts to Legal Consultation, Psychological Counseling, and Emergency Welfare Support

Expected to Help Residents Who Have No Proper Counseling Channels Despite Various Jeonse Fraud Methods

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) launched the operation of the "Jeonse Damage Support Center" on the 1st in accordance with the enforcement of the "Special Act on Support for Jeonse Fraud Victims and Housing Stability," providing support for victims of Jeonse fraud.

The "Jeonse Damage Support Center" performs tasks such as ▲receiving reports of Jeonse fraud damage ▲investigating damage facts ▲guiding victim determination, and through consultations with applicants, connects them to ▲legal consultation ▲psychological counseling ▲emergency welfare support services.

Accordingly, it is expected to provide concrete assistance to residents who have no proper counseling channels despite various Jeonse fraud methods.

Upon receiving damage reports, the center verifies whether the applicant meets the victim recognition requirements under the special act and conducts a basic investigation on price, actual conditions, and rights relations. Then, after deliberation by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Jeonse Fraud Damage Support Committee, the tenant is notified of the victim determination within 60 days.

Jeonse damage applications can be made at the applicant’s registered residence, and if the address has been changed after registering the leasehold right, applications can be made at the location of the leased house.

Application documents include an ID card, resident registration abstract, copy of the lease contract, personal information consent form, damage statement, and relevant documents such as the landlord’s bankruptcy declaration (or rehabilitation commencement) decision, auction or public sale commencement, execution order, or leasehold registration. These should be submitted to the Jeonse Damage Support Center within the Real Estate Information Division on the 1st floor of Gwangjin-gu Office.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Real Estate Information Division for thorough guidance.

Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, “Support such as legal consultation, psychological counseling, and emergency welfare can be received from the application stage,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that many victims receive prompt relief.”
