Gangbuk-gu Mayor Lee Soon-hee Communicates with Residents at Hanmaeum Walking Festival

Over 2,500 Participants of All Ages... Successfully Concluded

Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk District, participated in the '2023 Gangbuk Residents Unity Walking Event' on the 3rd and communicated with the residents.

Since 2008, the district has held an annual walking event to promote Bukhansan Uiryeong Trail and foster community harmony. The event featured a 9.2km round-trip course to the Uiryeong summit and observatory, with over 2,500 participants of all ages.

Mayor Lee Soon-hee said, "The Bukhansan Uiryeong Trail was restricted from civilian access for 40 years before it was opened. It boasts excellent natural ecology and outstanding scenery, including a close view of Obong Peak. I hope Bukhansan will receive much love from the public, and that all attendees have a more harmonious and healthy time."
