Actor Ma Dong-seok's starring film 'The Outlaws 3' surpassed 4.5 million viewers within five days of its release.


According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office data on the 5th, over the past weekend (2nd to 4th), 'The Outlaws 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yong) attracted 2,817,291 viewers, securing the number one spot at the box office. Since its release on the 31st of last month, the cumulative audience reached 4,512,386.


The third installment, released one year after 'The Outlaws 2' which drew 10 million viewers last year, gathered around 480,000 viewers during the Buddha's Birthday holiday. It attracted approximately 740,000 viewers on its opening day, reached 2 million in three days, 3 million in four days, and conquered the 4 million mark in five days.


'The Outlaws 3' depicts detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) moving to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit and launching an exhilarating crime sweep operation to catch Ju Seong-cheol (Lee Jun-hyuk), who is behind a new type of drug crime, and another villain involved in the drug case, Ricky (Aoki Munetaka).

In second place was the Marvel movie 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3', which attracted 91,099 viewers. The film's cumulative audience reached 4,040,651, marking the highest box office performance in the series and concluding on a high note.


Third place went to the animation 'Pok?mon DP: Arceus and the Jewel of Life' with 71,834 viewers. Its cumulative audience stands at 427,350. Fourth place was taken by 'Fast & Furious: Ride or Die', which drew 65,486 viewers.


Fifth place was 'The Little Mermaid', sixth was 'Super Mario Brothers', seventh was '10 Years Left in Life', and eighth was 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Animal Summoning Ninja Belly Button Defense Squad'.


The total number of moviegoers who visited theaters last weekend was recorded at 3,221,300.
