KT announced on the 5th that it will introduce a coding space feature within its AI coding education platform 'AI Codini,' allowing client companies to select and customize only the functions they want to use.
KT AI Codini is an AI coding education platform equipped with features ranging from block coding to AI modeling, tailored for the era of artificial intelligence (AI). AI Codini supports educational tool integration on Chromebooks and Android tablets distributed in schools across South Korea, and includes various checklist functions to enhance the quality of school coding education classes.
KT launched the coding space feature based on the demand from clients using AI Codini who want to offer their own block coding services. In other words, KT modularized AI Codini so that clients can use it flexibly. The six customizable functions within the block coding area in the coding space include title, emulator, block category, block coding, block design, and dedicated domain.
Functions such as title, emulator, block category, block coding, block design, and dedicated domain can be custom-made and utilized according to the client’s needs. Separately, clients can continue to use key features of AI Codini, such as AI functions and multi-operating system (OS) support, as before. Additionally, KT provides clients with a dedicated entry page for the coding space.
From its launch, the coding space is being utilized by various clients. The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education certified Codini Coding Space as an excellent edutech program and plans to provide student solutions through integration with Incheon MOOC (i-MOOC).
Meanwhile, KT’s group company KT CS is using AI Codini Coding Space in the Digital Sprout Camp project by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. KT CS conducts its own block coding education using the coding space, enabling more approachable coding education for its students. KT is continuously discussing expansion with education offices and various partners to promote wider use of the AI Codini Coding Space feature.
Choi Joon-gi, Executive Director of KT AI & Big Data Business Division, stated, “Educational institutions face significant time and cost burdens when developing and operating their own block coding platforms, but by using AI Codini Coding Space, they can easily manage their platforms. KT plans to further advance the AI Codini platform so that children, who will lead future society, can develop digital competencies through AI education.”
